How do I get to Skyros Island in Greece?
- Firstly, please refer to each holiday page for detailed travel information applying to each holiday
- Skyros island is a beautiful Greek island, unspoilt by commercial travel. There are very few direct international flights and no direct flights from the UK to Skyros island.
- Outbound:
- Arrive into Athens on the day before the first day of the holiday, ie Friday, book our overland return transfer to Skyros island including an overnight stay in Athens. Our transfer hotel is the Dorian Inn Hotel, in Central Athens.
2. Inbound:
- Fly home from Athens on the last day of the holiday
- For week-long holidays that end on a Saturday, and fortnight holidays that end on a Friday, please:
- wait to hear for the Skyros ferry timings so that we may offer you an overland transfer back to the airport. Usually you will be able to take any flight after around 3.30pm that day. However please wait for our confirmation before booking your return flight if you opt for this overland transfer.
- After confirming with us the correct timing, please book your flights independently as Skyros is not a flight provider

Courses & Activities
How do I choose my courses and activities?
- Choose your masterclass in advance from the two main courses at the Skyros Centre. Join in morning yoga and afternoon music & arts classes when you're there, these classes are open to all. Masterclasses are limited in numbers
- In Atsitsa courses and activities are chosen when you're there. The courses are introduced to you at the beginning of the holiday and you can sign up for your favourites. Step out of your comfort zone and try something new!

What's included in the holiday fees?
- Holidays at the Skyros Centre include half board, twin shared accommodation in Skyros village, your chosen masterclass and the various additional classes, activities and events
- In Atsitsa in Greece, the price includes twin shared accommodation, three meals per day and a variety of courses and activities over four to five days per week, as well as evening activities and events
Accommodation
What are my accommodation options?
- In Atsitsa, most people choose to stay in simple, rustic huts in Atsitsa's gardens on a twin shared basis. This is included in the holiday price. Or stay in the house for a supplement. Single hut and single room upgrades may be available for a supplement. We may also be able to offer you single occupancy of a room at the Atsitsa Hotel which is next door to the Atsitsa holiday centre

What are the beaches like?
- Atsitsa Bay has miles of stunning coastline to explore, with secluded coves, inlets and beaches. The nearest place to swim is from the steps just in front of the main house. The nearest pebble beach is a 5-minute walk away, and the nearest sandy beach, a pleasant 20-minute walk. There are no swimming pools. The bay is perfect for snorkelling. Atsitsa bay is usually very calm
General
Can I bring my children?
- Children are welcome in Atsitsa Bay during the school holidays (AT4 to AT6). Childcare provision is available in for those aged 5 – 15 years and there are also some courses that older children may be able to take part in (subject to the agreement of the facilitator).
- Children aged between 5 and 15 receive a 50% discount off the session fee price.
- Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Will I have access to the internet?
- Holidays in Atsitsa are a perfect opportunity for a digi-detox as there is more limited internet access. However, WiFi is available in the bar and dining area. Some telephone networks may also be able to connect to the 3G signal.
Will my mobile phone work?
- In Atsitsa mobile coverage is limited & unreliable, although improving every year. Mobile phones usually work in the village.
Am I too old/young to join a Skyros holiday?
- All ages are represented, from 5 – 85. Around 70% of our guests are aged 35 – 65
Can you cater to my dietary requirements?
- We can cater for specific dietary needs in all of our destinations. We will ask for your dietary requirements when you book and we will do our utmost to accommodate your preferences
Is it okay to join a Skyros holiday on my own?
- The vast majority of our participants are solo travellers and our holidays are designed with this in mind. Over 70% of our clients are solo travellers and so you are always in good company if you come on your own. Couples, friends and families are, of course, welcome too
