About April Blake
Dr. April Blake is an experienced integrative doctor with over 18 years of clinical practice, supporting individuals with chronic and complex conditions, hormonal imbalances, mental health challenges, and women’s health concerns—including menopause and related conditions. Her approach blends evidence-based natural medicine with deep, individualized care to help each person achieve lasting wellness.
She is the founder of Solstice Wellness Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Solstice Naturopathic Medicine in San Rafael, California—home to Scotland’s first Naturopathic Medicine Clinic. Her practices offer a range of therapies, including naturopathic consultations, infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen and PEMF mat treatments, all designed to support healing on both physical and emotional levels.
Dr. Blake holds a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Midwifery from Bastyr University and a BSc in Political Science, International Studies, and Cultural Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners in the UK.
Her postdoctoral training includes certification in NeuroNutrient Therapy under Julia Ross for the nutritional treatment of anxiety, depression, addictions, and eating disorders, as well as the Metabolic Approach to Cancer with Dr. Nasha Winters—focusing on terrain-based, individualized cancer care.
Previously, one of the first Naturopathic Doctors at One Medical Group in San Francisco, Dr. Blake worked integratively alongside conventional providers for 10 years. Now leading her own clinics, she continues to create personalized treatment plans using a wide array of modalities—including botanical medicine, nutrient therapy, amino acids, prescription medications, and lifestyle counseling—to guide patients toward vibrant health.
