Deepen Your Yoga Practice with Sue Devenish-Meares
Sun 18 - Sat 31 Aug 2024
‘Head to toe yoga’ - the chance to go a little deeper into your yoga practice. Accessible and friendly, non-intimidating classes; experimental, playful and intuitive movement is strongly encouraged!
Each day will have a theme or focus, until by the end of the week you will have scanned, stretched and shimmied the physical body from head to toe, and perhaps more importantly will have relaxed the nervous system, released lingering stress, and connected better to your true, calmer inner silence.
These sessions will also allow time for some exploration into the ‘everything and nothing’ of meditation, as well as a daily ‘guided deep rest’ - the ultimate relaxation.
What's included?
Sue's course is held in Atsitsa Bay on Skyros island in Greece and is part of the wide range of courses and activities available. About Sue Devenish-Meares
Sue is a yoga & meditation teacher and portrait/yoga photographer - she believes in helping people to connect more with their inner selves, and also to feel confident and comfortable to radiate that out to the camera lens!
Sue has been practising and teaching yoga for over ten years and she strongly believes it should be accessible to anybody. Her style is inclusive, accessible, gentle and mindful, with strong encouragement for students to vary the postures to suit them, not their neighbour. The physical aspects of her classes are ultimately a moving meditation.
She also has many years’ experience of teaching English as a foreign language, alongside other varied roles such as working on board cruise ships, photographing fancy houses in London and voice artist work.
She lives in London with a great many plants and likes to keep her sanity with walks in the woods, saying hello to any dogs she passes.
