Skyros-in-Paradise as many participants have called it, offers an unforgettable adventure in which one can make wonderful new friends, enjoy a different culture and be inspired . . .
After a gap of 5 years Skyros are excited to be returning to the beautiful island of Koh Samed in Thailand thanks to a new bridge that has made the Island more accessible! So join us at our old-new home, at a lovely resort in Ao Wong Duean. Located on a white sand beach, the resort offers tranquility and relaxation. Yet, with just a short walk to the other end of the bay, enjoy a selection of cafés and beach restaurants, or take a truck taxi (most roads in Koh Samed are unmade) to Ao Phai and Had Sai Kaew for shopping, nightlife and dancing.
Informal Activities and Courses
Skyros-in-Thailand offers a selection of courses, ranging from yoga and life coaching to Morning Pages, Vibrant Health, meditation and more. Courses are informal, often held on the beach, by the pool, or in a private, air-conditioned group room. They run for four days each week, with a one day break mid-session. Participants can choose up to three courses a day or take time out to make the most of their surroundings. The Skyros groups of between 10 and 20 participants are warm and friendly with a strong community connection. See programmes and prices for more information >
Participants often choose the Skyros group transfer, which includes two nights in the luxury 5-star Pullman-G Hotel (formerly Sofitel Silom Hotel) in Bangkok. In this fascinating city there will be an excursion to one of its cultural highlights and also a chance to experience the city’s colourful nightlife. If required, Skyros can arrange extra days in Bangkok. See the travel page for more information >
Koh Samed: (sometimes written as Ko Samet) is located in the Gulf of Thailand 141 miles southeast of Bangkok. The island derives its name from the cajeput tree which grows everywhere on the island. Written about by classical Thai poet Sunthorn Phu (there are statues of his characters scattered around the island) the classical name of the island is Koh Kaew Phitsadan or the "Magic Crystal Island". The island is part of the beautiful Koh Samed National Park, and offers a range of activities, from walks in the interior, diving and snorkelling as well as a lively nightlife. Koh Samed is very safe and hassle free.
