Solo Travel
We pride ourselves in pioneering solo holidays for more than 40 years...
openhearted, friendly, supportive
Do you dream of holidaying in a far away place but your friends or family are not available right now to share the experience? Do you fancy exploring something new but you are not certain you want to take the risks you think you may come up against? Do you want to move far away from old, tired routines and a world you can happily leave behind in order to take a new look at life? How about joining us on a Skyros holiday? Take a look at our two holiday centres on Skyros island in Greece: the Skyros Centre and Atsitsa Bay, as well as The Grange in the Isle of Wight. Travelling solo is no longer a daunting experience in Skyros’ safe and congenial atmosphere. Its world brings people together in a way daily life rarely does. You will feel immediately at home, make it easily into a new circle of friends, establish new bonds, make lifetime friendships and also open yourself up to new possibilities. You will certainly feel part of something bigger. Skyros holiday guests often tell us how they wish they had joined us sooner, but were initially quite nervous about making the journey alone. Many of them have since been with us several times over the years. Skyros is for them home from home. The beauty of Skyros is its unique culture which brings together like-minded, well-meaning travellers ready and willing to to discover something fresh, new and exciting, re-build their connections with all that is positive in life and play and laugh like children. ‘As long as Skyros holidays exist, none of us need ever again feel terror at the prospect of a solo vacation.’ Debbra Mikaelsen, Travel Insights ‘Atsitsa is probably the perfect holiday. It's hard to think how two weeks could be better spent... It's hard to put into words such a profoundly intense holiday. The joy of getting to know people whose ages and backgrounds were totally irrelevant, combined with the excitement of achieving goals and breaking old perceptions, made the experience all the more special... Everyone brings back their personal memories of Atsitsa. I'd never laughed so much or enjoyed such a range of emotions - all in the space of a fortnight. With such a great bunch of caring, supportive people. I returned rejuvenated, healthy, and more positive and with three new close friends.’ Tracey Jennings, Health and Fitness magazine ‘I danced and hugged and sobbed and laughed like a schoolgirl. By the end of the week, I was hooked.’ Vanessa Nicolson, House & Garden |
