Michael has worked as a group facilitator for 26 years, and is one of the leading figures in Humanistic Psychology.
He initially trained with John Heron, and was part of the staff team of the Human Potential Research Project at Surrey University. In 1984 he co-founded one of the first Management Consultancies drawing on Humanistic Psychology, with major projects in both the public and private sectors (see www.globalresonance.com). He facilitated five Postgraduate Diplomas in Humanistic Psychology and has trained many practitioners in the field.
Michael has written for film and television, most notably in the 90's 'Exceptional Leave to Remain' (Channel 4) about asylum seekers refused refugee status. More recently he co-wrote and acted in the film 'Inertia' (Dir. Anna Campion), which opened at the London Raindance Film Festival, and ‘Bipolar’ which premiered in 2006 at the Edinburgh Film Festival, and is currently working with Anna Campion on a film adaptation of Hallucinating Foucault by Patricia Duncker.
He is co-author of 'The Personal Management Handbook', and 'The Coaching Cube'.
